Rohan Sharma
Early Life
Rohan Sharma grew up in a tight-knit Indian American household where education was not just encouraged, it was expected. His parents immigrated to Jersey City before he and his older sister were born, bringing with them a deep respect for science, discipline, and stability. From a young age, Rohan was the curious one. While other kids were glued to video games, he was cracking open rocks in the backyard to see what was inside. He once convinced his parents to pull over on a road trip because he thought he spotted sedimentary layering in a highway cut. They humored him. They always did.
His fascination with the natural world began early and stuck hard. He collected minerals instead of trading cards. He could pronounce “igneous” before most kids could spell their own last names. But despite his academic leanings, he was never the quiet, withdrawn type. Rohan was loud in his excitement, animated when he spoke, and completely unafraid to raise his hand even if he was wrong. His parents nurtured his intelligence, but they also nurtured his joy. That combination shaped him into someone who never felt embarrassed about loving what he loved.

High School Life
In high school, Rohan was that rare mix of brainy and socially fearless. He was not the stereotypical science recluse. He joined clubs, volunteered for academic competitions, and still managed to talk his way into social circles through sheer personality. He was not the quarterback or the prom king, but he was the guy who could hold a conversation with anyone. Teachers adored him because he asked questions that went beyond the syllabus. Students tolerated his tangents because he delivered them with so much enthusiasm that it was hard not to smile.
Geology became more than a hobby during these years. It became an identity. While others obsessed over college football recruitment or dating drama, Rohan obsessed over rock formations and tectonic shifts. He spent summers attending science camps and local university workshops. His guidance counselor once suggested he “diversify his interests,” but Rohan doubled down instead. He knew what lit him up, and he refused to dim it for the sake of being well-rounded. That self-certainty would later become one of his defining strengths

Crestview University
At Crestview University, Rohan’s personality expanded to full volume. He majored in Geology, hand always raised and opinions always ready. He treated mineral composition like gossip and tectonic shifts like drama. Professors appreciated his passion, even if it occasionally derailed lectures. His enthusiasm was genuine, but he also knew how to deliver it with charisma.
Socially, he leaned fully into his Playboy persona. College felt like an opportunity. He flirted in the dining hall, in study groups, and in line for coffee. He got rejected a lot, but he never carried bitterness. He treated every no like a comedic anecdote. He would joke that he was building character. The truth is that Rohan enjoys attention, but he also genuinely enjoys people. His flirtation was always playful rather than predatory. It is part defense mechanism, part entertainment, and part longing for something real that he does not fully admit he wants.
Friendship with Stanley
Rohan and Stanley Conners are more alike than either would openly acknowledge, meeting in their Sophomore year. They are both intelligent, driven, and deeply observant. The difference lies in expression. Where Stanley folds inward, Rohan expands outward. Where Stanley guards his pain, Rohan buries his in humor and noise. Rohan recognizes the similarity early on, which is why he gravitates toward Stanley rather than feeling intimidated by him.
Rohan becomes the pull that draws Stanley out of isolation. He fills silences, makes inappropriate jokes at exactly the right moment, and drags Stanley into social settings he would otherwise avoid. He does this without ever making Stanley feel small. He respects Stanley’s boundaries but refuses to let him disappear behind them. If Stanley is quiet intensity, Rohan is bright energy. He does not try to fix Stanley. He simply stands beside him loudly enough that the world feels lighter. In return, Stanley grounds him in ways no one else does and sees past the flirtation and bravado to the loyal, fiercely protective friend underneath.
