Ogres
Features
Ogres are massive creatures, towering over humans. Their massive muscles, thick skin, and imposing size make them physically formidable. They often feature green skin, large brows, and prominent chins while many have tusks or horns. Ogres possess keen senses of smell and hearing, allowing them to detect prey or threats from a distance. They are incredibly tough and able to withstand conditions and injuries that would incapacitate a human.
Habitat
While originally inhabiting mountains, caves, and swamps, Ogres are one of the most well-integrated creatures in the modern world. Taking an assortment of careers, they have been placed well in society, and are often seen as just another resident of towns. It is common to see an Ogre working as a bank teller or patrolling as a police officer.
Diet
Ogres are primarily carnivorous, with a preference for large game. However, due to their mass integration, they have become omnivores, capable of eating anything. Ogres have enormous appetites and require substantial amounts of food to sustain themselves.
Mannerisms
Generally a solitary creature, Ogres usually form small groups or families of three to four Ogres. They have short tempers and have been known to break restaurant counters and walls when angered. They are judgmental creatures as well, particularly when in close groups. They have been known to gossip and insult differences in others.
Integration in the Modern World
While once hunted and killed long ago as they were deemed “Monsters”, Ogres and humans have integrated well in the modern day. While an Ogre home is much more obvious, featuring larger doors and usually taller than a human home, Ogres have adapted well to life along with humans. Despite their hands being twice the size of a human’s, they have mastered using smaller technology, such as computers and cell phones.
